Les Paul’s Electric Guitar

At 93 years old, Les Paul himself still plays his personal Les Paul electric guitar onstage, weekly, in New York City. Paul prefers his 1972 Gibson “Recording” model guitar, with different electronics and a one-piece mahogany body. Of course as an inveterate tinkerer and bona fide inventor, he has modified this guitar heavily to his liking over the years. A Bigsby-style vibrato is currently the most visible change although formerly his guitars were fitted with his Les Paulverizer effects device.
